WHAT WE'RE DOING ABOUT IT
WiNFUND is a 100% non-profit initiative that supports female-led health
innovations with real-world impact.
Our approach combines grassroots movements, tech innovation, and the
expertise of frontline workers.
We use innovative NFTs (non-fungible tokens) to fund our projects, complimented by traditional funding routes.
HOW WE'RE DOING IT
In 2022 WiNFUND was launched with an initial focus on Africa. Applications for investment were open to women-led, health innovation start-ups from seven countries: Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa and Uganda. We received over 300 applications for investment spanning the healthcare spectrum, showcasing the entrepreneurial excellence and immense vision of female innovators across Africa.
